How much is membership to the Touch Move Chess Center?

Membership is $80/ 6 months or $140/year. ( Ladies, Juniors & Seniors  get membership  discounts). There will be a $5 visitors fee/visit for all TMCC Non-member.

What do I get for my membership to the Touch Move Chess Center?

Your membership dues will help you get discounts on tournaments, books and chess equipments sale, chess lesson ( group or individual)  with masters. Additionally your membership will get you free lectures every Wed. and Thu. for adults and sat. for scholastic. ( Coffee, tea and other beverages  also available for free)

When is the club open?

The club is open 6 days a week .

• Mon. & Tue.    Open TMCC students only 
• Wed.& Thu.    from 4pm - 10 pm ( 7:00pm-8:30pm for adult training sessions) 
• Friday             from 4pm - 11 pm (Blitz night) 
• Saturday        from 1pm-9pm for general club play and club tournaments 
• Sunday           from 1pm-9pm for tournament play.

 

• Every other Saturday (tentative)  9am-10:30am for scholastic training sessions.

How often are training sessions held?

Adult (group) training sessions are held every Wednesday and Thursday nights from  7:00pm- 8:30 pm at the club. .

Scholastic (group) training sessions are held on every other Saturday of the month from 9:00am - 10:30am.

Holidays and special events are not included.

How much are training sessions?

Training sessions are free to all TMCC members .

Do I need USCF membership to play in the tournaments?

 USCF membership is  only required in a TMCC rated tournaments .

Is private instruction available?

Yes, private instruction is available from IM Angelo Young and other TMCC Chess instructor.

How much is entry fee to the club tournaments?

Entry fee to club tournaments vary. Some events may have higher or lower EF's depending on the event but non-member fees will always be $5 higher than members fees.

Will there ever be other special events such as simuls, bughouse events, guest lecturers, etc. ?

There sure will be. We are currently planning on holding some simuls and blind-fold challenges. All information will be available on the Events page.

Will there be chess equipment for sale at the Touch Move Chess Center?

Yes! we  just started to sell chess equipments , books and  clocks this fall . We also buy your used chess books and equipments for club use .
